It is first lady Rebecca Akufo-Addo’s first birthday in office since her husband became the president of Ghana - and social media is awashed with birthday wishes for her.

“Happy birthday to our first lady Auntie Becky. I appreciate the unique friendship we share and the counsel you gave me over the years,” the second lady wrote alongside the picture.”

President Nana Akufo-Addo had earlier wished his wife a happy birthday by tweeting an adorable picture of the first lady.

"Happy birthday to my beloved Rebecca," the President said in tweet Sunday morning.
