The Member of Parliament (MP) for Assin Central, Kennedy Agyapong has called on President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to give them contracts instead of concentrating on paying debt left behind by the Mahama administration.
Speaking on Adom TV, the MP said it will take more than 4 years for the Akufo-Addo-led administration to pay all debts left behind by his predecessor hence his call.
“In eight years, NDC left nothing and created a lot of mess and instead of Nana Addo concentrating on aspects of the economy, he is rather focused on settling debts of NDC. It will take more than 4 years to settle debt of the NDC.”
He argued that the President should focus on awarding contracts to competent people like himself who will help in fixing the economy, especially with roads.

“NPP can’t even clear NDC debts in four years. NPP is using all the money to settle NDC debts; they should set some aside and give us contracts. Development has stalled because of the mess NDC created. The NPP has indeed made the NDC comfortable. They will pay the NDC and give contracts to them.”
The Senior Minister Yaw Osafo Maafo some months ago said the debts left by the NDC administration will render Akufo-Addo’s government stagnant if he tries to pay them all off.
