The National Vice Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Samuel Ofosu-Ampofo, has sued the Eastern Regional Chairman of his party, Bismark Tawiah Boateng, as well as, private newspaper Daily Guide for defamation and libel, respectively.
The other defendants in the suit are Daily Guide Editor Fortune Alimi, Accra-based radio station Okay FM and Kwame Nkrumah also known as Tikesie, host of “Ade Akye Abia” on Okay FM, as well as Reporter William Yaw Owusu.

Mr Ofosu-Ampofo, who is seeking GHS10 million for damages states that Mr Boateng claimed he (Ofosu-Ampofo) leaked the Kwesi Botchwey Report of the NDC which the Daily Guide published in bits.
Mr Ofosu-Ampofo is also praying the court to place a perpetual injunction restraining the defendants and each of them, their servants, or agents or assigns from further publishing or causing to be published the said or similar words defamatory of the Plaintiff.
