The Central Regional Chairman of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Mr Bernard Allotey Jacobs has expressed regret for criticizing

“I regret ever criticizing former president John Agyakum Kufuor in his time in office. He is the best …..one of the best politicians I have ever met,” he said.

“I have to respect for people who have been presidents of this country, so I have got respect for President J.A Kufuor. I swear; I will do everything to respect his image, his pedigree, as well as his style of life”, he added.

Mr Allotey made this known on Monday on Kumasi-based Hello Fm on the station’s morning show “Kokrokoo”.

During the term of the former president, Mr Allotey Jacobs on many occasions criticized the administration and made some corruption allegations.

However, Allottey Jacobs in his interview on Monday said he regrets the criticisms, describing Mr Kufuor as one of the best politicians in the country.
