The Minister of Gender, Children and Social Protection, Otiko Afisa Djaba has swept Former President Rawlings off his feet following a speech she delivered to motivate young girls of Mamfe Methodist Girls Senior High School.

The former president was speaking as the guest of Honour at the 4th Speech and Prize Given Day organized by Mamfe Methodist Girls Senior High School in the Eastern Region on the theme: “Discipline ;a Prerequisite for Academic Excellence ,Stakeholders Take."

The Gender Minister urged the students to believe in their aspirations despite the difficulties that may come their way.

She said that the “Government of Ghana is committed to ensuring that every Ghanaian child of school going age is given free, quality education from kindergarten to the Senior High School level in order to ensure equal opportunities, gender equality and equity for all and to achieve the SDG Goal 5."
