Free SHS reportage on BBC, CNN made me cry - Wontumi

The Ashanti Regional Chairman of the NPP could not hold back his tears when he watched the reportage.

The Ashanti Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party had a teary moment when some international media houses aired the launch of the government’s Free SHS policy in their major news bulletin.

Bernard Antwi Boasiako popularly known as Chairman Wontumi said he could not hold back his tears when the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) and Cable News Network (CNN) made the announcement of the policy.

“I watched the launch of the Free SHS policy on BBC and CNN. They said President Nana Addo has introduced free education to Ghana. I couldn’t help but cry. I felt proud to be a member of the NPP and Regional Chairman of the party,” he told Accra-based Neat FM.
