Krofrom boy allegedly killed by police buried

He was alleged to have been killed by the police inn a swoop but an autopsy report requested by the police proved otherwise

Richmond Osei  Tawia the young man alleged to have been killed by the police in Krofrom in the Ashanti region is being buried today amidst heavy police presence.

Hundreds of sympathizers thronged the residence of the Tawia, 22 to support the family as they say their final goodbye.

The young man died on the 26 of May after a swoop by the police in the town. Residents allege the police mistook Tawia for a criminal and killed him.

But a pathology report days later exonerated the police from any wrong doing as the report indicated the young man died of a heart failure.

The youth in the area was angered by this and caused chaos by chanting songs and burning of tires. But the police managed to bring thing under control

Tawia’s body will be taken to Kenkyiren a town in the Ashanti region for burial.
