Irbard ends peace tour in Kumasi

The peace ambassador pleaded with all stakeholders to continue foster peace between of the Muslim community and the indigenes of Tafo and its environs.

He addressed the launch of a major peace campaign at Golden Tulip Hotel and held meetings with the Ashanti King of Tafo, the Zongo Chief, the Regional Chief Imam and the Regional Police Commander COP Kofi Boakye.

He also commended Otumfuour Osei Tutu II, REGSEC, the KMA, the Regional House of Chiefs, the National Peace Council, the Regional Police Commander for resolving what he says could have been one of the most unfortunate inter-religious conflicts in Ghana.

Mr Irbard called on the youth of the area to lift high the good reputation of Tafo as a model inter-religious area where a major cemetery has been a resting place for all Christians and Muslims of the Ashanti Region for centuries.

He has urged Ghanaians to learn to live in harmony regardless of their partisan and religious differences.
