She was sent to the psychiatric hospital in 1989 for treatment but little did she know that the facility may be her home for the rest of her life.

Aunty Jane, as she is popularly known, has been staying at the Pantang Psychiatric Hospital for 26 years now.
Narrating her ordeal to Morning Starr host Kafui Dey, she said she wants to return to her family after spending most of life in the mental home.
“I have so many children and they are demonising them, killing them and doing bad things to them so I would like to go home...I have relaxed here for a long time and I want to go home,” a tearful aunty Jane said.

The woman who claims she comes from Amsterdam said she wants to return to her profession as a teacher. According to her, she is yet to understand why her husband has not come for her after all these years.
But nurses taking care of Aunty Jane have stated that there is very little they can do for the lady.
According to them, the relatives of Aunty Jane have not been helpful since she was brought to the facility.
They told Dey that the patient keeps saying she wants to go back to Amsterdam instead of Adabraka where they know her family resides.
