Afriyie Acquah signs for Torino

The Ghanaian was owned by German Club Hoffenheim but has been playing in Serie A since 2013 with Parma and Sampdoria, where he was loaned.

Ghana midfielder Afriyie Acquah has signed for Italian Serie A club Torino on a four-year deal, Allsports.com.gh can exclusively reveal.

The 23-year-old Ghana international was owned by the German club Hoffenheim but has been playing in Serie A since 2013 with Parma and Sampdoria, where he was loaned.

Now the Granata have announced that they are giving him a new permanent home with a statement released on their site.

“Torino Football Club are pleased to communicate the definitive acquisition from Hoffenheim FC of the right to the sporting performances of the player Afriyie Acquah,” reads the statement.

“For the Ghanaian midfielder there is a contract until 2019.”
