Thomas Wuni wins NPP’s Talensi primaries

The NPP has elected Thomas Duanab Wuni as its parliamentary aspirant for the bye-elections come July 7, 2015.

Thomas Duanab Wuni has been elected as the New Patriotic Party's parliamentary candidate for the Talensi constituency in the Upper East region.

Thomas Duanab Wuni who is an Accountant for Allied Mining Ghana Limited polled 182 votes while the remaining two contestants, Robert Alibo and Williams Zoogah polled 119 and 96 votes respectively.

The by-election has become necessary following the enskinment of the Member of Parliament for Talensi, Mr. RobertNachinab Doameng Masore as the Paramount chief of the Tongo traditional area and his subsequent resignation from parliament.
