Voting suspended in Sawla

Reports are that ballot papers that were delivered to the constituency by the Electoral Commission (EC) came without the picture of one of the aspirants.

 

Reports reaching pulse.com.gh indicates that the Parliamentary primaries of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Sawla-Tuna-Kalba constituency in the Northern has been called off.Reports are that ballot papers that were delivered to the constituency by the Electoral Commission (EC) came without the picture of one of the aspirants.

The NPP goes to the polls today to elect parliamentary candidates for the 2016 elections.

The party has called on all delegates, aspirants and members to “conduct themselves in the spirit of party unity at the various polling centres.”
