Respect the choice of delegates – Kufuor

Speaking on Starr News, Mr. Kuffour advised that the party moves on regardless of who is elected parliamentary candidate.

Former President John Agyekum Kufuor is urging aspirants and their supporters to accept the choice of delegates in Saturday’s parliamentary primaries of the main opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP).

Speaking on Starr News, Mr. Kufour advised that the party moves on regardless of who is elected as a parliamentary candidate.“We are democrats, but the delegates have the right to choose. We must all respect the choice of the people… so we accept the outcome and we carry on,” he said.

The party goes to the polls this Saturday to elect parliamentary candidates for the 2016 elections.Flag-bearer, Nana Akufo-Addo has asked delegates to vote for candidates who are capable of winning their seats to deliver an NPP majority in the next parliament. National chairman, Paul Afoko has as well, in a Facebook post, cautioned delegates to vote for parliamentary candidates who “will project the true values of the party”.
