The two, Gregory Afoko who has been charged with murder and Musah Issah who is also facing charges of abetment of murder have been in police custody since their arrest in May 2015.
Arguing their application for bail for the clients, lawyers for the two accused told the court, the continuous detention of Gregory Afoko and Musah Issah in police custody was an illegality considering the fact that no substantive evidence have been brought by the prosecution which implicates them.
In response to the application by the defence team, prosecution in the case objected to the application for bail indicating that release of the two is likely to affect the outcome of investigations which is still ongoing.
It would be recalled that Adams Mahama was attacked with acid on his way home at night and died extensive burns the morning after the attack.
