Soldiers forced to train in slippers without uniforms

The Nigerian army is denying money meant for food, accommodation, training and equipment is being siphoned off by some officers.

Reinstated soldiers in Nigeria are training in bathroom slippers  without uniforms and equipment to fight Boko Haram at the Nigeria Army Training Center.

They are accusing their commanders of corruption adding that money released by the Government to fight Boko Haram has being stole.

The soldiers in an interview with Al Jazeera revealed that the army has failed to rehouse their family.

More than 50 soldiers are living in a deserted place where with no lights, portable drinking water and toilet.
