Blakofe is deputy CEO for GTDC

President Nana Akufo-Addo has appointed media icon, Akua Ampea Manfo popularly known as Blakofe, as the Deputy Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Tourism Development Company (GTDC).

Blakofe has over 20 years of experience in the media. She has succeeded as a Copywriter, Producer, Presenter, Event Organiser, Creative Thinker and Content Developer.

She has also worked as a Presenter for Aljazeera, a Field Reporter for MNet and has been featured on Oprah and Channel 4 (UK).

She broke the news on her Facebook timeline.

“What a Wow. It’s with deep honour that I share my very great news. I have just been appointed Deputy CEO at Ghana Tourist Development Company. I would like to thank God and President Akufo-Addo (& his team) for this wonderful opportunity to serve Ghana.”

She promised to do her best in the position she is about occupying.

“Naturally I’ll give it all I’ve got. So help me God. I would also like to thank my sister @deliciouspmm for everything. And my sons for understanding and allowing me to pursue my dreams.”

Akua Blakofe has in the past worked with Aljazeera, Tv3, Vibe FM and Metro TV.

The GTDC was established in 1972 as a Limited Liability Company to operate as the investment and commercial wing of the Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts.

The company exists to provide a congenial and a viable investment environment accessible to both local and foreign development funds.
