53 fake tertiary institutions identified in Ghana

The National Accreditation Board (NAB) has released a list of local and foreign tertiary institutions it described as "operating without accreditation."

According to the board, which is mandated to accredit both public and private tertiary institutions with regard to the contents and standards of their programmes, these institutions award certificates for various tertiary programmes without clearance to do so.

The following institutions have not been accredited as tertiary institutions to run diploma or any other tertiary programmes in Ghana. They are also not mandated to award or issue academic or professional certificates. Neither the institutions nor their programmes are accredited by the National Accreditation Board.
