About 10 unidentified men attempted to attack the Minority Leader Osei Kyei Mensah-Bonsu on Tuesday, but his personal security was swift to avert the nefarious plan, starrfmonline.com reports.Two men, according to the Member of Parliament for Suame, who spoke on Anopa Kasapa, approached the police personnel manning his house on Tuesday midnight, informing him of a purported incident which had happened a few metres away from the residence of the lawmaker.But the police officer got alarmed by the demeanor of the men.“He therefore took his gun to fend off any threat,” Mensah-Bonsu said, adding the two men kept insisting that the police man joins them to the purported scene.The Minority Leader stated moments later the police man saw some men approaching on motorbikes that fateful midnight and immediately had to call for support.“When they heard that the policeman was calling for reinforcement the two men took to their heels and joined those on the motorbikes and escaped,” he recalled.According to him, he was indoors when the incident happened. He said the unknown men could be on a mission to attack him or raid his house.
