Nigerian killed in Western Region

The Regional Police Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the Western Region ASP Olivia Eyrabena Adiku said the deceased, Alhassan Zambram, was murdered on Monday, May 1, 2017.

A 40-year old Nigerian who lives at East Tanokrom in the Western Region has allegedly been murdered in his room by unknown assailants.

The Regional Police Public Relations Officer (PRO) ASP Olivia Eyrabena Adiku told GNA Alhassan Zambram was murdered on Monday, May 1, 2017.

She narrated that the landlord of the deceased, Fuseini Ibrahim, informed the police of the murder at about 7:20 am.

ASP Adiku said the landlord, told the police that at about 5:20 am on Monday, he went to the mosque to pray and when he returned he was informed that his tenant Alhassan Zambram, a Nigerian national, has been found dead in his room.

Fuseini Ibrahim and other tenants rushed to the police station to report the case. The body was conveyed and deposited at the Effia Nkwanta Regional Hospital mortuary at Sekondi for preservation and autopsy.

ASP Olivia Adiku said the police retrieved one machete with blood stains from crime scene

She also said that the police is investigating the incident.

However, the police are yet to make any arrest.
