The desire of founders Tri Tran and Conrad Chu, for a dinner solution, gave rise to Munchery, said one tech expert.
This funding round was a product of many companies coming together. The companies are Sherpa Ventures, with additional participation from NorthGate Capital, 137 Ventures, Mousse Partners, e.ventures, and Greycroft Partners.
It was spearheaded by Menlo Ventures.
The total funding sum for Munchery, has now risen to $117.2 million.
