Don't meddle in Montie trio saga - Okudzeto counsels Ga chiefs

His counsel comes after the traditional leaders  added their voice to the numerous appeals made members of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) to president Mahama to pardon the Montie trio.

The three, Alistair Nelson, Godwin Ako Gunn and Salifu Maase, alias Mugabe, are serving a four-month jail term handed to them by the Supreme court for contempt.

The duo, Alister Nelson and Godwin Ako Gunn were threatened to kill justices of the supreme court on an Accra-based Montie FM.

The chiefs who pleaded on their behalf stated that their action was in line with the period of reconciliation observed ahead of the annual Homowo festival of the people of Accra.

But speaking on an Accra-based Class FM Sam Okudzeto said the chiefs to be neutral in their decision and should not allow themselves to be were swayed into the Montie FM saga.

“I am just cautioning the chiefs that they should just be careful and not allow themselves to be manipulated and drawn into politics; it is not good for them. We respect them, they are our traditional leaders, they are neutral, and their background actions are more important than what they are doing. I think I should caution them,” he said.
