Could Gennady Golovkin be the fighter to stop Floyd Mayweather?
We all witnessed the fight of the century between Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao.
An injured Manny flailing wildly at a hugely defensive Floyd. It was one for the purists, not anyone that enjoys being entertained. Mayweather came through unscathed and remains unbeaten. So who can beat him?
Well, ‘Money’ says he’s only fighting once more before he hangs up his gloves. So who’s out there that can put Mayweather on his butt?
Well, his name’s Gennady Golovkin and he’s a monster. Undefeated in 32 fights by way of 29 KOs. Golovkin is a Kazakh, the reigning WBA and IBO middleweight champion and a bigger man than Mayweather.
He has a destructive style that’s reminiscent of early D’Amato-era Mike Tyson. And many are tipping him to go on to take Floyd’s ‘pound for pound’ title very soon.
But enough with words. If you want to see exactly why boxing experts are starting to say that this is the man that could end Floyd Mayweather unbeaten streak, then check this out. Gennady Golovkin’s greatest hits.
