5 people including a one year old baby girl narrowly escaped death on Monday afternoon when their taxi cab somersaulted into a ditch at Ekon junction near Cape Coast.
The driver of a taxi that entered into a ditch at Ekon junction near Cape Coast sustained injuries alongside passengers on bard which included a 1-year old baby girl. All 5 persons on board the cab were taken to the Cape Coast Teaching Hospital, according to an eye witness. The baby girl escaped unhurt.
An eye witness, Mr. Peter Brown, a tutor at the Oguaa Senior High Technical School, located a few metres away from the scene, told the Ghana News Agency that the taxi was heading towards Cape Coast from Yamoransa. He said the driver lost control when he failed to apply his brakes in a sharp curve, resulting in the accident.
