Technology company-Meizu, announces launch of its Ubuntu Phone

China’s leading technology company, Meizu, is set to launch its new Ubuntu phone on Monday. 18th May 2015.

The MX4 Ubuntu edition will run on the Ubuntu open source software platform. This new model is a follow up to the previously released MX3 Ubuntu Phone.

An official tweet posted on the company’s twitter page, put to rest, all the speculations surrounding the release of the MX4 Ubuntu edition smartphone.

MX4 is seen as a hi-tech device that has been designed with high-end users in mind. Experts say its specifications stand it out from its major competitor, the Aquaris 4.5 Ubuntu Phone.

Meizu also announced that it will be expanding into India.
