A 12-year old boy has been arrested in connection with the murder of Captain Maxwell Adam Mahama in the Ashanti Region, the police have confirmed.

“Just some few hours ago I had confirmation that a twelve year old boy has been arrested at Manso Nkwanta again in connection with the murder of Captain Mahama. So we are going to add him to the seven that we have and hand them over to the Central Regional Police Command to continue with the interrogation,” the Public Relations Officer of the Ashanti Regional Police Command, ASP Juliana Obeng, said.

So far, 23 people have been arrested and will be screened and processed for court on Monday.

Meanwhile, the family of the slain soldier say they plan to hold three funerals for him.

One in Accra, one in Bole and the last one in Tumu

He will be buried on Friday June 9,2017.
