Several people who had thronged the Accra Central Magistrate Court Thursday to witness proceeding in the case in which 19 persons are being tried for their involvement in the murder of Major Maxwell Mahama, were stunned when they saw the suspects appearing in court each holding Bibles.
All the suspects sung praises as they arrived at the court premises and while disembarking the vehicle that conveyed them, according to reports by the Daily Graphic.

The suspects who appeared to have repented from their sins and turned on a new leaf also prayed in the van before they alighted.
They continued with their singing on their way back to the vehicle that was to transport them back to the Nsawam Medium Security Prison.
According to the prosecutor, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Mr George Amegah, informed the court that the police were still awaiting the Attorney-General’s (A-G’s) advice on the case.
He, therefore, pleaded with the court, presided over by Mr Joshua Caleb Abaidoo, to adjourn the case.
In response, a lawyer for the accused, Mr Solomom Boy Boison, pleaded with the police not to relax but follow up on the advice from the A-G’s office.
