The Ghana Airports Company says it has launched an investigation into the crash at the Kotoka International Airport on Saturday

The plane, which skidded off the runway during take-off at 12:20 pm, was carrying 63 passengers and 5 crew.
A statement signed the company said, "one passenger sustained minor injuries and is currently under observation at the clinic."
"Emergency procedures have since been activated at the airport and investigations to establish the cause of the incident has begun," the statement added.
The Starbow Airline Flight S9 104 was bound for Kumasi when it skidded off the runway during take-off.

Meanwhile, the statement said, operations at the airport are continuing as normal.
