Couple arrested for stealing food meant for SHS students

The matron of Mepe St. Kizito SHS and her husband were grabbed Monday evening

Police at Aveyime in the North Tongu district have arrested the matron of Mepe St. Kizito Senior High School (SHS), Bless Vordzorgbe and her husband for allegedly stealing food items meant for first-year students.

The two suspects were arrested Monday evening, November 20 after they had packed some of the items into a van, Accra-based Class FM reports.

The items include six gallons of cooking oil, seven boxes of sardine, six bags of beans, 10 bags of rice, and several bags of gari.

The suspects have since been granted bail.

Meanwhile, the headmaster and some workers of the school are locked in a meeting to determine their next action.
