Fishermen accuse NDC of manipulating premix fuel leading to shortage

The shortage follows reports that middlemen are diverting the product to the usual fuel stations for vehicles posing another danger to car owners in the country.

The coastal belt of the Region starts from Komenda in the Komenda-Edina-Eguafo-Abrem Municipality area, through Winneba to Nyinyano in the Gomoa East District, but only two notable areas: the Ekumfi District and the Mfantseman Municipality suffered the unfortunate artificial shortage.

A fisherman at Elmina in the Central Region called Mr. Kwabena Badu speaking on Accra FM has accused some members of the NDC for the premix shortage.

He said premix fuel available to fishermen at Elmina is unable to get because of manipulations and shady deals involving some faceless persons he believes are members of the NDC.

"There are numerous NDC members still in control of premix distribution that has resulted in what we are experiencing," he said.
