Kumasi Cell Break Two Suspects Escape From Police Custody

Two criminal suspects have escaped from police cell in the Ahafo Ano North district.

Two criminal suspects in Police custody at Ahafo Ano North in the Ashanti region have escaped from police custody.

According to reports, the suspects managed to smuggle some metal weapons into the cells and systematically cut the iron bars to make their getaway.

The Police in the region have launched a manhunt to re-arrest the suspects.

Two Police officers on duty are being interrogated to establish how the suspects escaped from Police custody.

In February 2015, seven prisoners escaped from a police cell in Denu in the Volta Region.

Three of the escapees have been re-arrested.
