SA's xenophobia is wicked stupidity by uneducated locals

South African xenophobic violence is stupid in its cause, more stupid in its fruits, and ultimately will be seen in history as what it is; an uprising by the uneducated South African peasants who refused to look within for answers to their poverty.

South African men brutally murder Mozambican, Emmanuel Sithole

He’s a foreigner; he has no connections, doesn’t know the language, moves into your country and neighbourhood, piss poor and without hope, and gets all the jobs. He maximises the potential of both human and natural resources and makes a living to rival a King, or in most cases, a decent income to afford him a stable healthy existence. How does that make you look?

Stupid, dumb, lazy, unable to adapt to change.  Lacking a skillset, unemployable, unambitious, not-driven, unmotivated and disgraceful. Of all the above, the adjectives that stand out the most are the first three. Stupid, dumb and lazy.

How do you react when you finally decide to change things? To alter the existing balance of wealth and begin to forge a path of success. Do you push yourself to acquire skills to aid your quest for a better life, do you get more education, begin to tap into the knowledge and power of that foreigner, learning vital traits of his success and applying them to recreate yours? Do you dig deep into your heart and begin to change the fundamental attitude that got you stagnated and made way for an immigrant to become better than you?

Or do you become more stupid, refuse to acknowledge your laziness and nonsense outlook on life, and in your stupid laziness, blame the foreigner for being driven and ambitious in a level capitalist society that favours the investor and risk-taker. Do you in your stupidity and unintelligence begin to attack the foreigner for being rich, and with the aim to drive him out?

South African Zulus have chosen the last one. A stupid, dumb, wicked, and inherently hateful stance, to the foreigners. They have begun an inquest of terror, attacking the rich foreigners who have made a life of themselves. They didn’t choose to become better at a skill, or set up ways to improve on their lives. They did what stupid people do when they are afraid of accepting the truth and amending their ways; get angry, attack, steal, kill and destroy.

I have seen videos and photos of the unspeakable evil that has been perpetrated by the people of South Africa in Durban, Johannesburg and its environs. The horrifying tales of destruction and gruesome attacks have been enough to make me doubt the gains of civilisation in Africa. We as a people have once again proven to be basal beasts, incapable of critical thought and logical resolution of discontent. In many ways have we failed, and this is one of them.

The Zulu tribesmen who have taken up arms, stoned people to death, chanting about the need to create space for them to flourish are stupid. In their dumb ways they have failed to think long-term.

If the foreigners do leave, and they remain without education, and skill, how can they be employed? Who wants to bring into their firms a man who has proven incapable of logic and reason? That man can become discontent, and blame his boss for his state of penniless existence. What happens then? Another killing?

How about the loss of jobs to their South African brothers? These affluent foreigners have also employed Zulus to positions within their firms, shops, and restaurants. These people are now jobless, their livelihood snatched by their insensitive brothers. The chain of destruction has also robbed South Africans too, making any perceived gains made become pyrrhic.
