Second accused steals GHC 20 in police custody

The second accused person in the JB Danquah murder trial, Vincent Booso alias Junior Agogo was today accused of stealing GHc 20.

An Accra magistrate court on Wednesday witnessed an interesting scene as the second accused person in the JB Danquah Adu murder case trial, Vincent Bosso was found to have stolen money from the counter of the police station where he is being kept.

The incident which took place while the court was on recess, came to light when investigators in the case undertook a search of the pockets of Bosso where a GHC 20 note was found rapped in a white paper.

The money according to the police officers accompanying the accused to court, was last seen on the counter of the charge office of the police station where it went missing this morning.

When questioned Vincent Dosso denied taking the money, claiming it was given to him by another police officer before being brought to court.

Vincent Bosso who is the second person to be put before a court  is said to be a phone repairer. He has been charged with conspiracy to commit murder.

Meanwhile, the state today dropped the charges of conspiracy to commit murder brought  against Vincent Bosso during his first appearance in court and have replaced it with murder.

According to the prosecution further investigations into the matter have revealed the second accused assisted Daniel Asiedu during the murder but fled when he sensed danger.
