Speaking to reporters, Blay was visibly shaken stating the news was a “very big shock”.

He pointed out a  ladder to reporters, which a security guard had suspected was used to enter the house, as some windows at the house do not have burglar proofing.

“[It] doesn't appear to be even a robbery - nothing was taken from the house,” Blay said, adding there was a bloody” knife or cutlass.

“It's a very unfortunate situation.”

Fellow NPP politician Yaw Osafo Marfo, also at the scene said "what has happened is horrific. It is a total disaster; but let's leave it to the police".
