Jake’s death makes me sad - Sir John

Sir John who worked closely with the late Jake described him as a "selfless leader".

Mr Obetsebi-Lamptey passed on Sunday morning in the United Kingdom after a short illness.

Mr. Obetsebi-Lamptey,  played an integral part in former President’s Kufuor’s victory in 2001, as his election campaign Manager.

He served as the first Chief of Staff in former President’s administration and variously as Minister of Information and Presidential Affairs, and Minister of Tourism and Modernization of the Capital City.

However, President John Mahama has expressed worry and sadness at the number of deaths of high profile personalities in Ghana this month.

Former President John Agyekum Kufuor, Jerry John Rawlings, flagbearer of the NPP, Nana Akufo-Addo have all expressed profound shock and sadness at the demise of Mr. Jake Otanka Obetsebi-Lamptey.
