The Jaasets3 of the Ga State says the spiritual needs of the State is more important to them than money.

The Ga traditional Council is asking residents of the capital city who are unwilling to abide by the customs and traditions of the Ga people to pack their bags and leave.

The comments came in the wake of criticisms against claims by the Ga Traditional Council that the recent flood and fire disasters that claimed over 150 lives was caused by the ‘Dumsor vigil’ and the popular bout between Ayitey Powers and Bukom Banku. According to the Ga Traditional Council, the two activities staged during the ban on drumming and noise making, were held to the “displeasure of the traditional rulers”.The Jaasets3 of the Ga State, Nii Yaotey Otuga speaking to Nii Ayi Tagoe on Starr FM’s Morning Zoo on Saturday, said the spiritual needs of the State is more important to them than money.“The spiritual needs of the state is better than money. For the Gas, it means a lot. People cannot come here and impose their views on everybody; then you have to pack your bag and baggage and leave the place for us,” he fumed.
