Hundreds of irate youth in Kpone in the Tema Metropolis have vandalised properties in a demonstration over lack of development and persistent power cut in the area.

Irate youth in Kpone have threatened to burn the Sunon-Asogli power plant situated in Tema.

The demonstrators also threatened to raze down the Sunon-Asogli power plant in 48 hours if their electricity is not improved.
The residents are therefore demanding preferential treatment since the community houses the Sunon-Asogli Power Plant.
The youth said the demonstration was meant to register their protest over the indiscriminate selling of land by the elders of the town.

They claim there is high unemployment rate in the area despite being surrounded by a number of companies.
