A statement from the Interior Ministry said on the advice of the Security Council, the curfew hours now begins from 8.00pm to 6:00 am effective Tuesday, July 26, 2016.

The curfew hours were imposed on the town after some disputes erupted between the Jamong and Jafog clans in the Bunkprugu traditional area for decades.
