Fire fighters were able to get the fire under control to prevent it from spreading to other structures at the hospital.

Officials from the national fire service have started investigations into the fire but have blamed their initial findings on an electric fault.

This fire comes about two weeks after a fire gutted the Central Medical Stores in Tema causing the country to lose items estimated to cost over GHC200 million.
