Reports say the attack on the DCE is from his political party, the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC).
It is, however, not clear what motivated this robbery attack on the DCE.
Narrating the incidence to Kasapafmonline.com, a close relative of the DCE said: “They [suspected robbers] came in demanding for money. They thought the NDC has given him some money for campaign purposes and so decided to attack him and take the money away from him. They didn’t succeed because he had no money on him. Because they didn’t get what they were looking for, they decided to take away the ring, mobile phones and some other valuables of the DCE.”
