16 Ghanaians In Jail Over Work Permit

Andrews Adjei Adams said the only major work in China is teaching but the Chinese don’t like black teachers, which has been a challenge for them hence making them to rely on minor jobs to earn an income to survive.

Sixteen Ghanaians have been arrested into police custody in china for not having working permits, over a month now, AdomFM reports.

According to the reports, police in China are demanding 7000 yen (194.40 Ghana Cedis) from each before they are released.

Confirming the news, a Ghanaian resident who gave his name as Andrews Adjei Adams said, since his colleagues have been in police custody since December 8, 2014 and all efforts to get them released has proven futile.

Therefore he is calling on government to come to their aid.
