A Woman Got Hit By A Car After She Fell Off A Motorbike

A young woman by name Abigail fell off a commercial motorbike (Okada) and was hit by a speeding Mercedes-Benz Sprinter passenger minibus on the Tema – Accra Motorway.

A young woman by name Abigail fell off a commercial motorbike (Okada) and was hit by a speeding Mercedes-Benz Sprinter passenger minibus on the Tema – Accra Motorway.

The accident which occurred around 6:20am on Wednesday morning saw Abigail who work in a T-roll manufacturing company, with a deep cut on the forehead and a broken hand and lay motionless at the accident spot for a while before a ‘Good Samaritan’, a cabbie driver rushed her limp body to the hospital.

She and the other two (both males) with her on the Okada, were without helmet, however the other two escaped being hit by Mercedes-Benz but suffered some bruises.

According to eyewitnesses, the accident occurred a few metres away from her workplace,  when the motor hit a bump and fell on its side, throwing the rider and his two passengers onto the highway.

The driver of a Hyundai passenger bus with registration number GM 5645 – 13 who immediately followed the motorbike with registration number M-13 1936 narrowly avoided the falling trio as he swerved into the inner lane.

The Sprinter bus which followed next, however, could not react immediately and ran into the fallen motorbike, hitting Abigail.
