Residents of Tanyigbe-Anyigbe, a suburb in the Ho municipality, was thrown into a state of mourning last Friday following a shooting incident that resulted in the death of a woman.

He subsequently escaped the scene but the youth of the town managed to apprehend him and handed him over to the police.
Narrating the incident to the Daily Graphic newspaper, the Superintendent of Police in charge of Ho municipality, Mr Ceasar Abanga, said the suspect and victims lived in the same family house at Tanyigbe- Anyigbe.
He said the suspect shot his brother, Korku on his right hand and the wife Comfort Abena Gbortsu at the abdomen around 11 p.m. last Friday.

Mr Abanga added that the victims were rushed to the Volta Regional Hospital but the wife died upon arrival.
He said the husband is currently on admission receiving treatment.
Mr Abanga said the police are yet to establish reasons for the incident.
He, however, indicated that the body of the deceased had been deposited at the hospital pending autopsy as the gun used in the incident had been retrieved for further investigations.
