The 'strong room' of the powerful god, Antoa Nyama, in the Kwabre East District of the Ashanti Region has been raided by thieves who stole gold ornaments and other valuables worth thousands of cedis.Six people in charge of the strong room were subsequently arrested by the police in connection with the theft, the report stated, adding that the incident has sent chills down the spines of inhabitants, who are wondering whether the name 'Antoa Nyama' did not invoke any fear in the thug thugs.

A pressure group known as Volta Youth for Development is calling on President John Mahama to replace Vice President Amissah-Arthur with the Speaker of Parliament, Doe Adjaho, as his running mate ahead of the 2016 elections. According to the youth, "Ghanaians have seen Amissah Arthur to be very 'incompetent' as the Vice President to President Mahama and so, our believe which has sprung out of a research is that, his pair again with President Mahama as his running mate can only reduce the votes of NDC drastically."

The Ghana Employers Association is charging government to urgently find a lasting solution to the country's energy crisis. The country’s power situation has grown from bad to worse over the months and employers say this is affecting their businesses.​

The number of businesses closing down is massive, and many are been affected as we speak.

Black Stars captain, Asamoah Gyan has cut sod for the construction an Astro Turf in his alma mater, Accra Academy School. The project is expected to cost GHC 700,000 [Seven Hundred Thousand Ghana cedis]. Gyan promised to finance an artificial pitch for the school in February this year, a project believed to cost in the region of $100 000 to replace their grass depleted existing park.
