President John Dramani Mahama has threatened to sack senior high school (SHS) heads who charge unapproved fees.According him, such fees put extra burden on parents, thus making nonsense of government’s efforts of providing affordable and accessible education for every citizen.He made this known at the inauguration of the Nkwanta Community Day Senior High School in the Nkwanta South District of the Volta region .

George Afriyie has been named the vice president of the Ghana Football Association following an Executive Committee meeting held on Thursday.Mr Afriyie  takes over the position from Fred Crentsil for the next four years.George Afriyie has previously served as management committee chairman for the Black Meteors and Black Satellites. He is also a member of the CAF Marketing and TV Rights Committee.

A Ghanaian medical team, led by Dr Isaac Okyere, the Head of Cardiac Surgeon at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH has successfully conducted open heart surgeries on seven children at the hospital. The open heart surgery is the first of its kind at the KATH.All the seven children survived the surgery and are said to be recuperating. The surgeries were started on Wednesday, November 11, 2015 to Tuesday, November 18, 2015.

Black Stars coach Avram Grant has held preliminary discussions with Athletic Bilbao striker Inaki Williams over a possible nationality switch, Ghana FA communications director Saanie Daara has revealed. Williams, 21, has come through the ranks of the Basque club and has scored five goals in 25 La Liga appearances.
