Police Hospital to close OPD, Emergency unit partially

The Police Hospital says it will close its Emergency ward and Out Patients Department due to periodic works at the hospital.

The Police Hospital Administration has served notice some departments of the health facility will be closed to the general public from today, Friday May 22, 2015.

The affected units and departments are the Accident and Emergency Ward and the Out Patients Department (OPD).

According to a statement from the Police Administration, the closure is due to “the periodic works at the hospital.”

The statement said renovation works will be done by Monday, May 25, 2015.

“The closure is to enable the hospital undertake a periodic renovation works for efficient service delivery to our cherished clientele,” the statement added.

“Meanwhile, the hospital wishes to assure the public that there are arrangements in place to ensure that patients are attended to and where necessary referred to other medical facilities for attention.

“We wish to reiterate that the hospital would be fully opened to the public on Monday, 25th May, 2015.

“While soliciting for the cooperation of the public for a successful exercise and improved service, the Police Hospital Administration wishes to apologize for any inconvenience caused,” the statement said.
