Alcosynth (presumably a pill) will be dispensed into your drink and then “you’ll have the pleasure without damaging your liver and your heart”, says Professor David Nutt, who developed the formula.

According to Nutt, the promise of hangover-free booze will be revolutionary to the alcohol industry and firmly believes that by 2050, it will replace conventional alcohol.

Critics say the formula has not been put through enough rigour scientific testing to prove Nutt’s claims. Conservatives also say, if indeed true, alcosynth will promote uncontrolled drinking. Also while it claims to be good for consumers’ health, it does not provide a solution to social vices associated with alcohol.
