Two suspected robbers knocked down after shooting lady

The two armed men were knocked off their motorbike by a taxi cab as they fled after shooting a lady.

A young lady believed to be in her twenties has been shot by two suspected armed robbers on Saturday 9, 2016, at Cantonments, near the American Embassy in Accra.

The two armed men were knocked off their motorbike by a taxi cab as they fled after shooting the lady.

According to report, the taxi driver who knocked the armed robbers down has been taken to the police station for questioning.

Chief Superintendent Mary Brown of Cantonment Police station who confirmed the incident to Pulse.com.gh said, "Yes something like that has happened but we are still working at it so as we are dealing with the issue if we come out with the details we might lose certain people we need to arrest."

She noted that, "Some of them are at large we don’t have to worry so much so that we can get them."

The victim was shot in the thigh and has been rushed to the 37 Military Hospital for treatment.

The suspected robbers have been taken to the Police Hospital.
