Police arrest suspected murderer of Vodafone marketing officer

The suspect, 18-year-old Abdul Razak Ibrahim allegedly shot the deceased, Ebo Panford- Quainoo in a robbery attack at his residence at Sakumono, near Jotasa Pharmacy, in the Greater Accra Region, last month.

A man who allegedly killed a marketing officer of Vodafone Ghana on November 11, 2015, has been arrested by the Accra Regional Police Command.

Addressing the media, the Greater Accra Regional Police Commander, COP George Dampare said "I'm happy to report to you that through the investigations and systems of what we call the detective policing strategies, we have been able to arrest one of the two individuals who did this to our brother and the family".

He added that the police has launched a manhunt for the second suspect who is currently on the run.

A marketing officer of Vodafone Ghana,  Mr Ebo Panford- Quainoo, 30, was on November 11, 2015 allegedly shot dead by two unidentified armed robbers at his residence at Sakumono, near Jotasa Pharmacy, in the Greater Accra Region.

The robbers, said to be wielding  pump-action gun, are believed to be the masterminds of another attack on some other residents at Vulcanizer, a suburb of Sakumono, an hour before the incident.

His traumatised wife, who was also in the house, is said to be receiving treatment at an undisclosed health facility, apparently from trauma. She was not harmed by the robbers though. The two had been married for four months.
