Following the arrest of the driver on Sunday, the Accra Regional Police Commander, COP Dampare, has told the bereaved family that he would do all it can to set the case for court as soon as possible.

He added that the public must be cautious of the road especially during the yuletide season.

“Christmas is just around the corner and in the course of this festive period over the years, we’ve had incidents of avoidable accidents leading to loss of precious lives. We want to take this opportunity to advise all and sundry to exercise restraint during this festive period,” he advised.

“I also would like to urge passengers who happen to be in vehicles, especially commercial vehicles that any point in time if any driver is driving in a way that you are not safe, please be bold and talk for that person to act responsibly,” he added.

The deceased have been identified as 75-year-old Adwoa Ode, 10 year old Owusu Sekyere and 8 year old Jacklyne Owusu Sekyere.
