Ghana's Judiciary Judges, magistrates threaten strike

Information reaching indicates that Circuit Court Judges and Magistrates nationwide are likely to declare an indefinite nationwide strike Monday.

It may be recalled the judges and magistrates gave to the government a 10-day ultimatum to pay the increment by September 30 or embark on a strike.

A source close to the Magistrates and Judges of Ghana (AMJG) claimed that the leadership of the Association is set for a meeting today, October 3, 2016, over the delay in the payment.


The meeting according to the source is likely to announce a day for the commencement of the nationwide strike.

It added “failure to reach an amicable settlement means that a date will be fixed for the strike
