Judges, magistrates threaten strike

This follows the inability of the government to implement the judges approved 10 percent salary increment.

 

Information reaching Pulse.com.gh indicates that Circuit Court Judges and Magistrates nationwide are likely to declare an indefinite nationwide strike Monday.

It may be recalled the judges and magistrates gave to the government a 10-day ultimatum to pay the increment by September 30 or embark on a strike.

A source close to the Magistrates and Judges of Ghana (AMJG) claimed that the leadership of the Association is set for a meeting today, October 3, 2016, over the delay in the payment.
